Hello, I'm Mònica from Barcelona. We just celebrate 1 day , on the 24th, but we've been doing a lot of things. You can see them in ourblog and picasa albums. You can see through the images the small exposition on books with the word library o librarian in the title as for instance "The lion of the library" by Michelle Knudsen that we loved and enjoyed a lot. Or by Margaret Mahy, "The kidnap of the librarian". We also hung some reproductions of paintings on reading by Botero, Degas...Mainly women reading...

We start our shelf at Anobii with all these titles...

Sorry for my english.

Hello! It's almost the end of August 2010 and I'm looking ahead to a new school year. I think it would be fun to host a Read-a-thon for my students, sometime in October.
Hope to hear of your ideas for October!

I've created and coordinates the WEB 2.0 service for Polish school librarians for ISLM (2008) and ISLD (2006-2007). Librarians find information they publish about everything you do in the library at the international school library feast.

My name is Neslihan Kılıç. I’m from Turkey, I’ve been working for 3 years as a librarian teacher in the same private school. We’ve just noticed that this year, for the first time will celebrated International School Library Month.
Next year, we would like to preparing some activities about this month. There are two librarian teacher in our library. We’re teaching reaching true information resources and learning research methods to our students. “Literacy and learning in our school” These subjects are very important for us. By the way, are we using media and multimedia resources correctly? How are we going to protect children from the harmful effects of media? We’re focusing on these when making presentations, teaching.
We would like to invite this group for sharing some information, some news.

Best regards,

Neslihan Kılıç
