Hi Dana,
Thank you very much for the link. The information in your powerpoint was very interesting and I learnt some new things. I have submitted a poster abstract on information literacy and learning outcomes for the Padua conference instead as I am in the early stages of implementing Web 2.0 technologies at my school.
Thanks for your your welcome. I am working as a TL in a secondary school in Brisbane, Australia. I will be attending the IASL conference in Padua next year and am very excited at the prospect. I am considering submitting a poster for the conference re what I am doing with Web 2.0 in my role but am not sure where the rest of the world is up to with it. Do you have any advice?
Nice to keep in touch with you. It seems to be a nice position you got in UK. I know it's not easy to find a job in a foreign country. It would be good for us to be able to share our experience with web 2.0 in our libraries.
Nice to meet you again. I am Elfin Yeung, an ex-member of ALESS. I am very glad that you have been awarded with the school librarian recognition. I am currently working as a part-time assistant librarian at a secondary school in the UK. I am trying to introduce the web 2.0 technologies to my library manager so as to extend the library services. I hope they will soon recognize my teacher-librarian qualification.
I'm still so confused and emotioned...
I think this Award is a stimulus for us to work harder and better for the enhancement and recognition of school librarianship!
