I'll be attending the AASSA conference in Campinas, Brazil in March. I have submitted a proposal for a workshop on primary sources from the Library of Congress. I'm aiming at going to Jamaica but it will depend on where we will be working next fall. Ideally we'll leave Quito and be on our way to Europe. I love Quito and the school here but as we are older, we don't have as much time as the youngsters to see the rest of the world.
Some (10) of the South American librarians will be attending a Follett workshop at my school this week. I plan on telling them about IASL and hope they will join. Was a decision made on annual dues?
Thank you for your note. I'll let you know how this week's meeting goes. Mary

Hello Katharina,
Greetings from Mumbai.India. This is Ngawang Tenzin. I am teaching Information Literacy in Primary and Secondary Level. But some how i am not getting good response from teacher as they think that Librarian is not necessary involved in their Collaboration meeting. If they want resource they can come to library. So some how i could not integrate my library programme with the school instructional programme because of poor response from Teacher. In India school library is still isolated from the school curriculum. Since you are school library Consultant and i am suer that you have wast experience, Could you please guide me in this regard. I will appreciate if you could suggest me some tips. I dont mind you can even charge me(hahaha..) I can help you informing you about status of libraries in India and other related issues.
