Please have a look at the Chns Lit SIG - we are currently trying to set up an international project - the Gigglewiki Project - to publish electronically, a compendium of children's jokes and anecdotes from around the world. Had je al gehoord dat ik samen met Matji Tsebe van het St. Ignatius Gymnasium Amsterdam naar Slamit3 in Litouwen ga? Wel in mijn eigen herfstvakantie maar dat heb ik er wel voor over. Ik ben zo benieuwd naar alles: de mensen en alles er omheen.

- Hi Christer,
Lots of things happening everywhere! I've send an OPEN Letter to the board of Secondary schools in the Netherlands, because the Ministry has put 200 million euros extra at the disposal of schools. The schools can use this money as they wish to do and I've of course proposed they will use it for school libraries :-)! The letter will also be published on the website and digital edition of a professional magazine (IK-magazine) and I've send it to a national newspaper, but have no idea if they will publish it.
Let's keep our fingers crossed. Have a nice weekend too.

How nice to have our own "facebook" för schoollibrarians.
In Sweden we are now hoping that the minister for education will put school libraries in the school law. We have done at lot of lobbying and there are signals that we might succeed.
