Hi Tom, Will you be at the Berkeley conference on Friday? If so, love to get together and chat!

Hi Tom

You are up early. We are planning to go IB to.
I am going to the Renaissance College for a school librarians' meeting this afternoon. It is in Tai Mo Shan, which is far away for HK standards. One of the presentation is about 'extended enquiry'. We are getting Jamie McKenzie of FNO.org to visit our school next month.
Unfortunately I am not a teacher-librarian as I started my career too late. I have been a librarian for 16 years but I started at the Goethe Institut, the German Cultural Centre and then moved to the school. I did lots of IL training and a Teacher Librarian module in my BA in Information Science and also teach/train the students in my school but not because it is integrated in the curriculum or required by management. Lucky we have a TL in the primary.
Take care, Ida

Hi Tom

sorry it took me so long to answer.

I have three slipped discs so was not feeling too well, the hospital stay was unpleasant and now I have to try get my energy back. I have not told you but I am just finishing my Master in Library and Information Management now, out of 8 modules I have finished 7 and my last will be a research project on databases in schools. Your project sounds very challenging but the way to go with students.
I am very interested in information literacy since I first attended Eisenberg's inset in 2000(?), if you can give me time to get better, maybe after Christmas, I am happy to support and assist you.
It sounds great visiting the Park, I would love to go and especially with family yet my parents are too old or think so to travel and my brother is busy making money ...but my daughter will come back for Christmas, remember she is studying at Tisch School of Arts in NYU.. please keep in touch, Ida

Hi Tom

Greetings from Hong Kong. I hope we can remain in contact after Berkeley nd maybe share our daily routine?
This week I went to teach our business college students and the experience I gained was very rewarding. They have different and individual needs. I learnt a lot from them and to my surprise they confess to being digital immigrants not digital natives.

Have a good weekend, I am going to Macau on Monday.
Cheers

Ida
