Connecting school librarians and school libraries

Dear all,

The school library stand at the Leipzig Book Fair was a big success. Students of Leipzig university of applied sciences (library science and architecture) had built a model school library, even with a half pipe for reading bikers. Subject teachers showed publicly how to teach students in a school library media center.

The 3rd School Library Meeting in Berlin saw more than 170 participants, more again than the meeting in 2009.

Coming on Saturday is the 20th School Library Meeting in the state of Hesse with more than 35 workshops.

In May will the winners of the competiton "Best School Library" be awarded.

And, after that, I will be on holydays on the Canary Islands.

Sorry, all postings are in German.  But there are pictures!

Best regards

Guenter Schlamp
